This blog is all about my adventures with food allergies and all of the delicious, made from scratch, kosher food that comes out of my kitchen in spite of the allergies.
I’m allergic to wheat, corn, soy, sesame, peanuts, tree nuts (all of them), coconut, some non-kosher shellfish that I would never eat, mold, and a few pages of things that I either can’t spell, pronounce or remember. Tests revealed all of this back in October of 2011, which was just before the allergies really started getting serious.
Life is a lot different these days, and it is very far from bad. In fact, there isn’t any part of this journey that hasn’t been a blessing. While severe and dangerous, my allergies forced the chemicals and processed food out of our home, caused us to take a serious look at what we were putting into our bodies, and motivated drastic changes in every aspect of our family life.
If you have any questions that I might be able to answer, please feel free to contact me. I’m not a doctor or a Rabbi, but I have managed to learn a thing or two about living an inspired, thriving life in spite of the food allergies, and it is always a pleasure to share what I have learned. If I can’t answer your question for one reason or another, I would be happy to introduce you to someone more appropriate or qualified.
